About

The Active Learning Faculty Learning Community (FLC) meets on a monthly basis during the semester. The group's goal is to get more faculty members involved with using active-learning strategies in their classrooms. 

This is an ongoing activity that focuses on faculty learning and sharing and is moderated by professionals who use these instructional strategies in their academic life.

The Technology Faculty Learning Community (FLC) meets on a monthly basis during the semester. The group was formed with the goal of understanding how faculty members use various forms of technology, such as clickers, Blackboard, Wimba and wikis, in their classrooms. 

Topics covered

•         Clicker question development

•         Building questions for your presentation

•         XR clickers and Turning Point software updates

•         How to introduce clickers to students

•         Respondus test/quiz/survey management software and preparation for final exams

•         Using wikis with Blackboard

•         Wimba (live classroom and voice boards)
